BALANCING YOUR LIFE
Life is busy for all of us. The urgent seems to always take precedence over the important. We work longer hours, worry more, take fewer breaks or vacations, and race through our days as if we want to get to the end of our lives sooner. That is how it feels sometimes. For me… Since I really love what I do it is harder to stop and relax, change scenery or pace. Well, last month I took a short vacation and went to Italy. Yes, by myself. I walked the streets, tasted the deserts, (ohhhh….the gelato), sipped the espresso, enjoyed pizza, listened to conversations or actually to the tone of conversation and observed. I spent time in bookstores, art galleries, internet cafés, and I rode the train to Rome. The change in pace rested my brain; I received new stimulus from that environment, took lots of photos and even made some friends. I returned home more excited about what I do, and brought back beautiful memories. It does not always take leaving the country or going on vacation. If you find yourself working a lot and racing from one appointment to the next, always syncing with your day planner, schedule some time to go to the park, to the bookstore, spa or a show…in fact, go to a jazz concert, this month is Jazz Appreciation Month. And now for the rest of the story…
Linda Rhea, of ThriveEveryDay is a remarkable lady who tapped into her inner strength to meet cancer head on. Her faith saw her through to victory as she restored her body to health. She uses the fortitude she developed during her fight with cancer to help others thrive in the middle of their adversity. Linda started her company Thrive Every Day. The image she and her company expresses is one of a rewarding and fulfilling life that enjoys every moment! We think the logo we created for her encapsulates that feeling.
I met Katy Morgan a year ago at the First Step for Speakers Conference in Los Angeles. She is a speaker, author and life coach. Her passion is to inspire and challenge young ladies to live up to the destiny God prepared them for, in their relationships, personal lives and professional careers. We help her define the company’s brand strategy, name and tagline.
We also designed the book Ready, Set, Succeed which recently printed and is available for purchase from the individual co-authors. It is a book about the steps they have taken to succeed in life.
